modern day variations of jive and have little bearing to what we teach. if you wish to learn one of these styles you need to find another dance school provider. do i need a partner? in an ideal world yes! it will help you to learn the dance more quickly. at each dance class we have ‘helpers’ who will partner anyone who comes on their own. but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to partner you up every week. do you swap partners during a dance class? no we do not! we keep you with the same person or the person you came with. some other dance schools do change/move partners around every 10 minutes or so but jive class does not and never will do. do i have to pay for the full set of 8 lessons beforehand? no! we charge per person per lesson on the night and have a pay as you go policy.
