meet&eat page by clicking here . *the clare project ran the saturday morning cafe at the chapel royal in north street, brighton, during april. clare project volunteers (right) took part to help raise funds for us. different charities take over each month and the cafe is well worth supporting if you're out and about on any saturday between 10am and 1pm. they serve excellent value coffee and tea, home made cakes and sandwiches . the chapel royal is by the bus stops towards the bottom of north street, as you travel down from the clock tower, and the cafe is relaxed, comfortable and informal. * trans can sport is a project in brighton and hove dedicated to transforming the wellbeing of trans people through exercise and healthy living, including running, yoga, circuits, pilates and lifting. all sessions are free or low cost. you can check out their website by clicking here . *enjoy weekly trans swimming sessions at st luke's pool, st luke's terrace, brighton bn2 9ze on wednesdays from 8.30-9.20pm. standard swimming fees apply. their phone number is 01273 602385. there is no pressure on first-timers to swim. you can check out the facilities, ask questions and take a dip if you'd information, and here to find out how to get there. *the annual community service to mark the international transgender day of remembrance took place at dorset gardens church, dorset gardens,brighton on sunday, november 19 , 2017 . the service commemorated trans* people who have died or suffered violence because of hatred towards them over their gender identity or gender expression. clare project trustee kate nambiar hosted the event, the minister was heather leake-date and the rainbow choir provided musical support. there was catering from lunch positive, and switchboard gave crisis support. ej scott organised workshops at brighton museum that morning and there was a march with banners to the ceremony. *the clare project had a stall (first picture) at the fifth brighton trans pride on july 22, and another stall at pride in preston park on saturday, august 5 (second picture). clare project member w endy byr ne arrived at pride in her brilliantly decorated mobil ity scooter (third picture). several clare project members came along to help on the pride stall during the day. at trans pride we were one of the groups taking part in a full programme of activities at the trans pride park event in brunswick square gardens, hove. this was followed by a late night party hosted by tramfrau at the north laine brewhouse, and on sund ay, july 23 there was a tra ns pride picnic at the reports from the chair, secretary, facilitators and counsellor, and registration forms were made available for membership of the clare project . a total of 21 people attended. as well as electing officers and hearing their reports for the year , registration forms for clare project membership were made available, which will confer voting rights at general meetings. you can also apply to become of brighton council, concentrating on well-being and good mental health. we have now intoduced a creativity table at our drop-in on the first tuesday of each month, from 5-7pm . this is a quiet place to enjoy anti-stress doodling and colouring using pens and crayons, particularly for those who find it a bit easier to socialise with a structured activity. do give it a try. *don't forget to check *trans living in brighton and hove has presented its key findings from the brighton and hove trans needs assessment survey of 2015. among its main points are that an estimated 2,760 trans adults live
