nieuws acties foto's pers links contact login you are here: in 2006 besloten we vanuit inclusie-vlaanderen (belangenvereniging voor personen met een verstandelijke handicap) om eens na te kijken wat er verwezenlijkt was van de afspraken die 10 jaar eerder gemaakt werden tussen de christelijke mutualiteit en het stadsbestuur om de algemene toegankelijkheid in de stad te verbeteren. we stelden vast dat er nog veel te doen was en riepen allerlei verenigingen op om samen met ons hieraan te werken. we namen contact op met de betrokken schepenen en de burgemeester. zij stonden positief tegenover onze voorstellen, maar ... er was geen geld!! we kregen wel de belofte dat bij elke nieuwbouw of grondige renovatie van openbare gebouwen contact zou worden opgenomen met het toegankelijkheidsbureau om te checken of de regels van de toegankelijkheid gerespecteerd werden. men heeft deze belofte gehouden bij het arenaproject, het sociaal huis en de academie. wat willen we bereiken? van tienen een toegankelijke stad maken op elk gebied. daarbij moet toegankelijkheid steeds volledig en allesomvattend zijn. dat wil zeggen dat naast gebouwen, straten en pleinen ... ook informatieverspreiding, dienstverlening, mobiliteit, onderwijs, sociaal-culturele activiteiten.... toegankelijk moeten zijn. we weten dat niet alles in één dag kan gebeuren. daarom stellen we onze prioriteiten. heel graag willen we dat: • de wegen in het vianderpark toegankelijk zijn • het voetbalstadion aangepast wordt • horeca- en handelszaken personen met een handicap kunnen ontvangen en hun infrastructuur eventueel aanpassen. wat werd reeds verwezenlijkt? • in het stadhuis is een traplift zodat de raadzaal bereikbaar is. • de plannen van nieuwe gebouwen worden gecontroleerd op toegankelijkheid door het toegankelijkheidsbureau. • de politie belooft meer controle te doen op de parkeerkaarten en het gebruik van de voorbehouden parkeerplaatsen. • stadswachters melden wanneer obstakels op de stoep staan. • in de delportestraat werden aanpassingen gedaan zodat het voor een rolstoelgebruiker veiliger wordt. beloofd... en op te volgen • dat het goed aangepaste toilet in het voetbalstadion door het plaatsen van een helling bereikbaar wordt. • dat de wegen in het vianderpark goed berijdbaar worden. • dat de grote markt wordt heraangelegd zodat ze goed berijd- en begaanbaar is. • dat ook op het kerkhof de wegen verbeterd worden . toegankelijk tienen wil ook dieter cox , fotograaf voor opgewekt tienen bedanken voor zijn foto die we mochten gebruiken. copyright © 2014. all rights reserved. designed by pc@work bvba .
